Several applications not working / no error / no function

Question

Today, The following applications simply stopped working:ItsyCalRightZoomRedquitsXtrafinderHyperswitchKarabinerGoogle DriveNoSleepSizewellThey don&#x27;t give an error, don&#x27;t show up in the status bar (those of them supposed to be there), and don&#x27;t do anything. Calling them directly from the finder does nothing. Calling from the terminal does nothing either (errorcode 1081). Trying to open them from the launcher does nothing. All thse applications were working just fine last time I used the computer, today they simply stopped doing so. That so many different applications suddenly stopped working leads me to believe that it is a problem of the OS (Currently running yosemite 10.10.5 on a macbook pro). Please advise on how to solve this issue

see this articlehttp://www.macworld.com/article/1052220/repairpermissions.htmlif this does not resolve the issue check each application to see if an update is offered by the developer.if that does not rectify the situation then it&#x27;s possible Apples latest update is the cause, in which case you can consider downgrading to 10.10.4 from a time machine backup if one is available to you.

Thanks, I already tried to fix the permissions but it didn&#x27;t change anything. Can&#x27;t roll back to 10.4, but they were all working on 10.5, until today that is. Calling them from the terminal leads always to a LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810, which apparently is mac lingo for "no idea what the **** is going on, but it won&#x27;t work"

go to your consoleMacintosh HD:Applications:Utilities:Consolego to console.app and open itclear the log file by clicking "Clear display"open one the offending applications.paste the result of the attempt from the console window here.

Thanks again for your tips,I did remove the cleaner, but it didn&#x27;t do anything. Furthermore, I could not find the culater you mentioned, and the malware software wont run...Luckily, it is my work computer, and I managed to convince the IT guys to get me a different laptop with a different operating system that I feel more comfortable using, which is for me the best solution to forget about all these kind of issues.So, thanks again, and sorry for wasting your time.
