Q: Updated my iTunes 9/6 and lost access to all albums. All I see is a U2 album that I don't own! Running Win XP SP3 and followed direx on : https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT2032 Does NOT work. Pls help!

I updated my iTunes yesterday and have since lost access to my many albums. When I open my iTunes I see a U2 album that I don't own and that's all!

I'm running Windows XP SP3 and followed the directions on this page:

The instructions don't mention the need to bring the Library.itl file back into the iTunes folder. (iTunes prompts that it needs this file to run)

I tried it both ways, with the Library.itl file on the desktop and reimported into the iTunes folder - neither way works.

By the way, it took a couple of hours to copy my library to the iTunes folder.

Again, by the way, my iTunes Library file does not have a date suffix "YYYY-MM-DD"

Please provide a better fix ASAP.
