Where is the shuffle songs option on iPhone 6 in the iTunes app?

I know where the shuffle button is at the bottom of the screen, but it only allows you to shuffle that current album.You can no longer shuffle entire music library on iPhone 6 in the iTunes app.

It is rare that I listen to a single album, with nearly 30,000 sings and having roughly 14,000 on my iPhone 6 128GB I like to shuffle the entire library but the only way I have found to do it is to tell siri to "shuffle my music"

This is a huge screw up on apples part in my opinion. Even if I simply want to shuffle a genre I have to tell siri and she doesn't always understand.

For example I say shuffle blues genre or shuffle blues and she doesn't understand.

I hope apple fixes this issue extremely soon.

Any info is greatly appreciated folks??

The function is still there, just not easy to find.

Tap the "My Music" tab then tap the drop down list about 1/3 way down in red text. Select Genre or what ever preference you have to want to shuffle music. Make a selection by tapping the image or gray square to the left of the name, not the name itself. A song within that genre should start to play. Then select the play / pause bar at the bottom (not play pause itself but the text) and you enter the Now Playing screen. Select the Shuffle button on the bottom of Now Playing. Also select Repeat icon to on if you want to restart the shuffle at the end of all genre (or other selection) Music being played.

You are welcome. Glad I could help. I'm finding most old features are buried in the new Music somewhere but this program is far more complicated now and there is little Apple documentation. I still can't figure out how to show playlist lengths in iOS for example. I don't know if it is gone or hidden the way things are with Apple Music.

I have also noticed that a playlist I have created will duplicate on the phone. It is a total waste of space needed on the phone..

No, I can't find the combined duration of songs in a playlist in Music.

My playlists have not duplicated to date. I have heard of this, but have not looked into it.

I am not sure I understand, do you mean total time of a certain number of songs or the total number of songs in a playlist?

So for example hours, mins or days hours mins?? I am not sure either. It s there on the computer in the iTunes playlist at the top of the list under the playlist title, it is not however on the iPhone. So I do not know UGADog. I do not think it is a feature any longer.
