I can't delete some draft or trash emails
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), null
What happens when you try? Need details. If you are getting error messages, what do they state?
Please detail ALL you have done so far in the way of troubleshooting? Need this info to avoid the been there done that scenarios.

The deleted emails simply reappear; I've tried moving them to other folders, and then deleting, but they return.
I can delete them if I go to webmail, but this seems a crude and often unavailable method. It hasn't happened before i.e. in the last 5 years since going 'Apple'

Try rebuilding the mailbox.
If that doesn't work, try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.
