Q: repeated prompts for iCloud password

I keep getting prompted to enter my iCloud password. After a coupe of attempts I am prompted: "App-Specific Password Required". I then log in, have the verification code sent, enter it, and again get prompted for the iCloud password - this is an endless loop - help!

Have you created an app specific password? It is required if you have Apple 2 step verification for you Apple ID. To generate the password go here.

I think that is the key to the answer - the message doesn't indicate "WHICH" app to create the app specific password for - I cannot figure out which app it is. Do you know of any way that I can find that out?
