Sep 8, 2015 5:40 PM in response to lizzyfromwilmingtonby Paul_31,★HelpfulWill the Mac restart in `Safe Mode' - restart holding down the Shift key until you see the Apple logo. Hopefully it'll boot, albeit more slowly than usual.
If it does boot in Safe Mode try restarting as normal from the Apple menu (i.e. not Safe Boot). Does it boot? Let us know your findings.

Sep 8, 2015 3:12 PM in response to Paul_31by lizzyfromwilmington,Hi Paul. Thanks for your help. Just assume I have no idea what I'm doing! When I hold the shift key is it while I'm turning it on? Or after I hear the start up chime?
Is the mac acting this way because of something I've done?
Thanks again
