how to stop music app background activity

I am using an iphone 4s with ios 8.4.1

recently I noticed i am losing battery too fast so i did a restore of my phone

Now my phone has only ios with a clean memory and no apps but still when i check the battery usage times after an hour both the standby time and usage were equal with the bulk of the battery used by music app background activity (92%)

Is there a way to fix this

I had the same problem with an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.4.1. Based on Web comments, I made three changes to Settings. One or more of these changes caused the Music background activity to drop to 0%:

  • Turned off data roaming after a recent vacation abroad.
  • Under Music, set Show Apple Music to off.
  • Under General->Restrictions, in the Allow section, set Apple Music Connect to off.

Hopefully this information is useful.
