Q: I have purchased around 800 songs since i have had an iphone. my phone broke.

Its only letting me download 250 RECENT purchases. Itunes store says i have purchased certain songs but will not let me or even give me the option to download purchased around 800 songs on itunes, broke my phone, got an ipod. will only let em download 250 recent purchases. on itunes it says i have purchsed songs but will not let me redownload them.. why is my question. why let me spend around 700-800 pound on songs then not let me have them

Hello Username11232,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
The article that you were accessing (Download past purchases from iTunes - Apple Support) was the correct one for downloading past purchases.
The most common issue that prevents someone from downloading previously purchased songs is that they were purchased using a different Apple ID. This is covered in step 1 of that article and points to the following articles:
Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
And
If iTunes repeatedly prompts you to authorize your computer - Apple Support
