Why do i get a script running message from time to time?

From time to time i get a "script running" message..This occurs after the spinning beach ball appears.

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6)

Can you identify the script? Is it something that is started by a tool you've installed, or maybe from a login item? (Use  > System Preferences > Users & Groups > select your login account > check the login items listed.)


If you launch Console.app, are there any diagnostic messages that appear in the logs around the time when the script is running?
