Q: 5th Gen ipod touch failed restore 3014 error multiple times

After following the online tutorials i am still stumped. Put ipod into restore, recognized but 3014 error, copy/paste new hosts.txt file, turned off firewalls....15-20 times failed to restore on iTunes.....help....
