Sep 8, 2015 3:28 PM in response to snowwhiteteacherby léonie,Have you tried to update iPhoto? If you now are running MacOS X 10.10.3 or later, you need to update to iPhoto 9.6.1.
Barney-15E's user tip explains how to update to iPhoto 9.6.1 by reinstalling your App Store purchase.

Sep 8, 2015 4:29 PM in response to snowwhiteteacherby LarryHN,iPhoto still works just fine - it is in your applications folder (you do need version 9.6.1 - if you you do not keep your system up to date see Can't Update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store
and of course Photos i the new photo application and the first time you launch it your iPhoto library will be migrated to it and you can use either it or iPhoto (no changes made in one are reflected to the other) so you can use it
