Why does it say I have to pay for iMovie? When I first got my iPad Air it said it was free now it says it cost $4.99.
The freeness of the app is tied to the apple ID used to activate a device.
Did you try to sign into iTunes then look to download iMovie?
Only on some modles of the iPad the iMovie app cost money and other models don't I forget why . Example on my iPad mini I can get iMovie for free but on my iPad 2 it says I have to pay . Both iPads are on the same Apple ID. I hope this helps !!!
It still says that it cost money when my friend has the exact same iPad and on her's it was free.
