Q: messages has stopped working on macbook air

Dear Community,

Over a week ago Messages on my Macbook Air stopped working. I thought it was a problem with ATT but it hasn't started working again. Bougour and Jabber seem to be active but I don't use them. No iMessage. Any thoughts?
