Q: ITMS Error 9000: Item referenced in encryption.xml could not be found in the OPF manifes

Hi,

 

I have received the following error, while I run the transporter. Can anyone have the solution for this.

 

    ERROR ITMS-9000: book.epub: Item referenced in encryption.xml could not be found in the OPF manifest

    Please check if your epub package contains encryption.xml file inside META-INF folder. If an encryption.xml file found without your consent and if you dont intend to encrypt the fonts in the file, you can just remove the same.

     

    The encryption.xml will be created if we obfuscate fonts using SIGIL or other font obfuscation methodology. In large conversion houses, this issue may occur due to members copying a previously converted epub file (which may contain encryption.xml) and using the META-INF, mime-type, etc files to create new epub file.

    Yes, encryption.xml file placed inside the META-INF folder.
