eject second cd/dvd/br drive

eject second cd/dvd/br drive

Hi all,

i just installed a second cd/dvd/blue ray burner to the lower tray of my mac pro 2017 / 5.1.

OS/X-Side (10.10.latest available):

Works fine. But the keyboard eject button only ejects the upper drive.

I must open disk utility, there i can eject upper or lower separately.

Is there any chance to have a selector for the keyboard eject button? Or does a little helper application exist which lets me eject the desired drive?

Bootcamp side:

Not drive will be ejected by the keyboard eject button.

On Bootcamp i must open the desktop computer symbol, and make a right click to the dvd or br symbol to eject.

What can i do to simplify on osx and bootcamp?

MAC:

hold down Option while selecting eject

Windows:

If the external drive does not have an accessible eject button you must right click the drive icon from the Windows Explorer window "my computer" or "computer" and select Eject (Disk)

otherwise you can create a shortcut

Yes, meanwhile i myself found the option / alt key to select the second drive. AND in the menu bar there is a eject symbol that offers a pull down menu to select the drive.
