On my second iPhone 6 (which has sadly dissuaded me from all future Apple purchases) and the zoom feature for the screen will not set and stays on the standard size, which is a little too small for me to read without my glasses on. Does anyone out there have any advice??

Go to Settings/General/Accessibility and turn on Zoom. There are instructions on how to change the amount of zoom displayed below the switch. Or see this: iPhone: Configuring accessibility features (including VoiceOver and Zoom)
Alternatively, do what I do. Wear your glasses when using the phone.

Nope, I was looking at the Settings/Display/Brightness/Display Zoom/View feature of Zoom. Which is not working at all since the Genius Bar gal reset my phone today.
