Q: Apple TV 3 not responding properly to any remotes
As of this morning, my Apple TV is not responding properly to any remotes (aluminum, iOS App, or 3rd party). When I press a direction on the remote, instead of just moving one option in that direction, the Apple TV will start an infinite scroll that only stops when it reaches the last option. If I try to stop it before it reaches the edge, and press the center button to select, it acts as though I've been holding the button down and causes the app to "shake" as if I were trying to move it.
I originally thought my remote was damaged but after changing the battery, un-pairing, re-pairing, and attempting to use both the iOS app and a third party remote, all with the same results, I've started to believe it may be the Apple TV. Note: The light on the Apple TV will occasionally flash when I press the button, but other times will not. And sometimes, it will just be a solid light.
What I've tried:
-Unplugging Apple TV to reset
-Restarting through Apple TV Menu
-Restoring through Apple TV Menu
All to no avail.
I'm now left with a completely unusable Apple TV as the restore has resulted in the need to re-enter a WiFi password, which I'm incapable of doing with the constant scrolling.
Any help is welcomed!
