my wife managed to get this on her MBP
I believe it to be a scam
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
Was it a mail message?
Seems like SPAM since Macupdate is a software distributor.

Thanks.... my wife clicked on something (I don't know what) and she got some type of message about being infected with a virus. The item I posted was only a portion of the entire message. I have been a Mac user since 1984 and this is the first time I have ever seen something like this that I can't quickly resolve via a query or two on the internet, but Google only produced a couple of possibilities , none of which answered my question. I assumed it was a scam and was only trying to confirm my suspicions.
