Sep 10, 2015 7:34 AM in response to Firstdog1by BobTheFisherman,Did the email ask for you to provide any personal info? Is there a charge on your credit card? If the answer is no to these questions then it is likely that someone just erroneously typed in your email address during the purchase process. If the answer is yes then contact your credit card company and dispute the charge if there is one. Do not provide any personal data to anyone asking in an email.

Is this a scam?
Undoubtedly. Do not click any links in the email. You can check your account directly from within iTunes.
See these support resources:
Identifying fraudulent "phishing" email
Identifying legitimate emails from the iTunes Store
Phishing and Other Suspicious Emails
The last one includes information on forwarding the original message with headers to Apple at reportphishing@apple.com which, one hopes, they might use to take down fraudulent websites that are used for this type of scam.

Sep 10, 2015 7:35 AM in response to Firstdog1by thunderzzz,Does it ask you to follow the link in order to confirm the transaction or asks for your personal info? If you haven't bought it it is scam.
Check the articles below and report the scam to Apple: reportphishing@apple.com

Sep 10, 2015 7:43 AM in response to Firstdog1by turingtest2,But did you click that link? If you did, and entered your details, then you have given scammers access to your AppleID. Change the password immediately.
