Sharing iCloud accounts is a bad idea. It can lead to all kinds of unintended consequences and cross contamination.  You should never share an iCloud account with anyone else.

what i would do before family sharing was that we would use the same apple id the only downfall is that when you change a contact it changes on the other one too, things like that

you can choose the option to download automatically things such as apps... but preferably look into family sharing
