I have songs and audio books on my iPod. i mostly listen to my songs on shuffle but at least once a day i get a voice over the songs reciting all the chapters of my audio books the only way i have found to stop this is to unplug the headphones,when i look on the screen there is only a picture of the album,is there a setting to stop this as over the last couple of months it has got more frequent.

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPod nano. From your description, it sounds like something may be inadvertently activating the Voice Over function of your iPod.
