Sep 11, 2015 9:55 AM in response to lopes de la vegaby Eric Root,Try restarting with the option/alt key held down and see if you get 2 choices of startup disks besides the Recovery Partition. If so, try selecting the disk that was locked and see if you can boot from it. This is why you need a backup, preferably 2 on 2 different drives.

Sep 11, 2015 10:57 AM in response to VikingOSXby lopes de la vega,I actually don't know , my old desktop has disappeared ,all my files too - i don't even see the macintosh hd as usual i have my other disk named "untitled" with obviously nothing in it - it looks like the computer is running under this new disk where i installed os x lion - i could see my other drive at the recovery page but it was greyed out & was saying "Disk locked" . now i m running under a virgin computer but i need to find the solution how to get back to my other disk & how to unlock it if i get back to it - Please it would so helpful
