I am unable to enter a US billing address for my credit card

My Billing address for my CAD credit card was originally a CAD address. I just moved to USA and now I am trying to update my apple account with my US credit card and US address. I can enter my credit card number fine, however, when I get to the billing address I am unable to enter a state. It only gives me options for Provinces. How can I fix this?
