How do I keep the Menu Bar at the top of the screen locked? It disappears when I expand the screen and I have to hover over it to use the menu bar. I would like for it to stay locked in place
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

What you are seeing is how Apple clearly intends full screen to work. The app gets the full screen. To get less than full screen, exit full screen mode, probably create a new desktop and drag the app to it, and then stretch your window to the limits of the display. If you'd like a less-than-full-screen-full-screen mode, then please contact Apple directly.
Exactly. Apple knows what you need, and what is best for you. If you feel different you are just plain in the wrong.
