Q: iCloud

I see that there is a new pricing plan for the iCloud

In the states it will now be $2.99 for 200gb and from what i can see on line it will be £2.99

How is this fair? £2.99 is a **** of a lot more than $2.99 why don't we in the UK pay the same or similar to the states? It should only be £2 at the most. even at that it will be 8p more then our american counterparts.

Am i wrong? thanks

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.4.1, Actually iOS 9

This is a user to user community, Apple are unlikely to read your comments, if you have any suggestions that you think might enhance iCloud you can send Apple your feedback here.

This page lists the world wide storage prices:   iCloud storage pricing - Apple Support

North America, South America, Latin America, and the Carribean

    United States (USD)
    20 GB: $0.99
    200 GB: $3.99
    500 GB: $9.99
    1 TB: $19.99

The price in the United States is 3,99$, not 2,99$.

In The Euro countries it is 3,99 €.

I think the OP might be referring to the new prices which are lower than the current prices (at least in the US), I'm not sure when they begin or whether the £ 2.99 the OP quotes is correct as a new price, I don't know whether the reductions apply to the US only or what.

Actually if you keep up with Apple news http://www.macrumors.com/2015/09/09/apple-announces-cheaper-icloud-plans/ you will see in the States like my friend says the prices have been cut

I just wanted to point out the conversion rates for the prices have always been in favour of the US:  US $ prices in the United States have been charged in pounds in England and in Euro in the other countries of European Union.  We always had to pay a lot more this side of the pond.  Not just for iCloud but for books, cards, etc.  as well.  And the price changes are not yet effective according to Apple's published prices on the support pages.
