We have lost an ipod and would like to know is there a way to remotely go into our setting and turn on wifi capabilities to just pick up on any network. Also we did not register the device with find my ipod yet...Can it still be activated although the phone has been stolen? One last question, if the ipod is jail broken (because there is a lock code on the device) can we still find the device?

No. You can't remotely turn on WiFi. If Find my iPod wasn't activated, there is no way at all to track the location.
