Q: charge
When i switch my ipad air 2 off and plug in, the batteray icon does not show. Is it normal??

Ary, if your iPad is turned off, it is normal for it to turn on automatically after you plug it to a wall charger. You should first see a screen like the first one below (momentarily only), then a screen like the second one below (a little longer but again momentarily only; the third screenshot is just a blow up of the upper right corner). Then all goes black while it is charging. If you are not seeing this behavior, then do the following, a forced restart:
Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it comes up. You will not lose any data or apps.
Also make sure the battery % is set to ON. Follow the advice here:

If the above does not work we will have to do a full Reset. Post back and I will walk you through it....
