How do I reset password for backup on my ipad

Im trying to upload my Ipad to Itunes and do a total reset due to lagging. My stuff uploaded but its asking me for a password for the restore backup that I made from previous time Im guessing? It doesnt give me an option to reset it or help or anything. Only other choice is resetting ipad to new or something. Can someone help me please?
