Why my Facebook Msger dont update profile photo's of my friend ? is there a problem in the Phone or App?

The quick answer to your question is no, you should not need to uninstall and reinstall the Facebook Messenger application continuously.

From your original question, it sounded to me like you had already deleted the Messenger application due to the issue with it not updating your friend’s profile picture and needed to redownload it. After your reply, I think I understand more clearly. It sounds like your friends profile pictures don’t update when they are changed and you don’t want to delete and redownload the app every time one changes just so you can see the current profile picture.

Add contacts - iPhone

Update your contacts using Twitter, Facebook, and Sina Weibo. Go to Settings > Twitter, Settings > Facebook, or Settings > Sina Weibo, then tap Update Contacts. This updates contact photos and social media account names in Contacts.

The update contacts is not working. I am not alone in this, as there are many others I have found with this problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/iOS8/comments/2gx7d6/facebook_contact_photos_not_syncin g/. I have tried the "Update Contacts" function with no luck. My wife won't even show up in my contacts. I have tried re-friending, un-friending, uninstalling the FB app, soft reset, but nothing is working. I am doing this exactly as you have listed out. Settings --> Facebook --> Update All Contacts, and it says 0 contacts updated.

Yes..! Their is a way..!

You need to go to the Facebook site either on safari or chrome.

1. Go to Privcy and settings.

2.Go to Security.

3.Go to active sessions and remove the session named "Messenger on iOS".

4.Go to messenger on iPhone again. It will ask you to re-login.

5.And Voila..!All the profiles are updated and this can also be used tp logout from messenger..!

Slight revision to the solution suggested above worked for me:

Logged into Facebook from browser on a computer as suggested... Used Firefox on a Windows computer, so solution does not seem tied to using a specific browser...

1. Click on the padlock/hamburger symbol (Privacy Shortcuts) located between the globe (Notifications) and downward pointing triangle (drop down menu) in the menu bar

2. Click on "See More Settings".

3. Click on "Security" in the navigation menu on the left

4. Under the "Security Settings" in the middle section of the web page, click on "Edit" to the right of "Where You're Logged In" (previously this was listed as "Active Sessions") and remove the sessions for iOS devices under "Facebook Messenger (#)" where # is the number of current Messenger sessions.

5. As original solution provider states, you need to login again in the Messenger app on your iPhone in order to see the updated profile picture in your Messenger Scannable Profile Code.

Guys guys guys !!!! I have crack it. The trick is very simple and works too. You don't have reinstall the app or end any session from facebook.

Just simply block the person who's profile picture is not updating. (Note: Block that person from the messenger app, not through facebook)

First open the chat box of that person, And go to the block option. You'll find two options there :

1) Block Messages

2) Block on Facebook

You have to select "Block Messages". You have to turn it "ON". After you turn it "ON", you'll see that the profile picture of that person is gone.

Now just unblock the person (turn OFF the "Block Messages" option) and booommm. You will see your friend's new profile picture.

This method helped me, I hope it'll also solve your problem.

This updates all.

In messenger go to Me, people, Unsync contacts,

Sync again and all contact pictures will update,

including yours.
