iPad Mini 4 RAM 1GB or 2GB?
I'm looking to upgrade to either iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 4. I prefer Mini, if the RAM is 2GB. Can anyone confirm the RAM quantity of the Mini 4?

Several sources say 2GB, same as the iPhone 6S.

Yes, I found that too. But what I found seemed to suggest the newer models had 2Gb and the older, 512mb or 1GB but even the Wiki page seemed confusing as to identifying which was which, so I decided not to respond immediately.
What source is saying it's 2GB? Has it been validated by Apple?
But only because they heard Phil say it had the same internals as the Air and seemingly looked no further at it.
Thing is, the Mini 4 has an A8, which has previously been used in the iPhone 6 and the latest iPod touch. The Å8 only has 1GB ram in those devices. The Air 2 has an A8X. It'd be odd to upgrade the specs for the A8 but keep the name.
Wikipedia says 2GB but gas no source either. I haven't found anyone who has source or proof.

Apparently the developer documentation for the new Aconfirms confirms that it has 2GB of RAM despite using an A8, this coupled with the store saying the Mini had a second generation A8 makes it seem about more likely that it'll have 2FB RAM.
Still,wait for reviews / benchmarks / teardowns.
Supposedly Apple will not validate as it is proprietary information. I've asked a few times and a different way each time. Someone else may have better luck getting it out of them though.
