Q: Placed iPhone pre-order with wrong billing address

SO the situation is I placed two preorders for the new iPhones and I did not notice that apple pay (using witgin the Apple Store app) was usino my work address as my billing address. I did not notice until I saw the order confirmation email. When I placed the order and put my fingerprint it said processing and the order went through, but I know they don't actually charge my card until it is ready to ship. Is this going to be a problem when they charge my card or did the authorization already go through? I have used the apple pay set up like this several times but only in Walgreens store onsight. I called Chase and they said they would add that address on a temporary basis for approval but he had no idea how long it would stay on my account. I saw the Apple Store FAQ says I cannot change the billing address after the order is placed because the credit card company has accepted the transaction, so does that mean the payment will process?

    I would think that when I submitted my order and it said it was processing my Apple pay that if it was a problem it would have declined at that point right?

    TO clarify further I ordered using ATT Next so the only thing charged would be the tax and I think it is charged now at the time of purchase but I may be wrong. my apple pay passbook shows the last charge being for the taxes but I cannot find the pending charge when I log into Chase.

    I have this situation as well. The order went through and is showing on my credit card statement so I would assume that means everything will proceed normally but I would definitely like confirmation of that.

    I called apple and they updated my billing address just to be safe, and I did get a confirmation email for each order that it had been updated but it is not updated in the system when I check order status. I will give it some time as I am sure there is a delay. What is weird was it listed my address but only the street address, then oddly enough my county, then city/zip with no mention of the state. All the information is correct, just not in the same format that I said or that my credit card billing address is. She said it looks fine now, but that their billing department will call me if there is a problem. I thought they just cancelled your order if there was a payment problem so that was good to hear.
