Husband texts come through with my name & no

When my hubby texts me on my number, his texts come through to my phone, but my name comes up, with my number!! To text him back I must leave the thread and reply to his number. A few months ago we started to share an ID, but this eve I have created my own in an attempt to rectify this. None of my details are on his apple account and vice versa with my new one, and my phone is not logged on to his iCloud, but this still happens. Any ideas would be much appreciated!
