If by bar, you mean the line going the full width of the page, then yes.

Go to shapes and then insert shapes and choose insert line and then just drag it for the full width of your page and set the line for the colour that you want and the thickness that you want it.

If you mean by bar you are referring to the menu bar, then yes, you can do that too, but it depends if you are using the iWeb built in menu or you have created your own menu?

If you have used iWeb's built in menu, then it depends on what theme you are using as to whether you can stretch the menu bar the full width of the page? If you use the blank white theme then you can do this, but with some other themes you cannot.

If you want to do this, then the best way to do it is to turn off/hide the build in menu in iWeb and build your own menu by using either a shape or a text box and if you do this, you can extend the shape or text box for the full width of your page.

So to create what you see above, insert a line shape and extend it for the full width of your page and change the colour to white and then the width of the line to 2 for the thickness and then insert your menu into your shape or text box and extend that for the full width of your page and keep the white line shape that you have created above it.

The JavaScirpt allows for it.

Use what you need.

If you only want a browserwindow wide bar, do not add an image in iWeb. Put that image on the server and use this :

<script>

parent.document.body.style.backgroundImage='url(images/headerbg.png)';

parent.document.body.style.backgroundRepeat='repeat-x';

</script>
