Reserving an iphone?

When I reserved my iPhone 6s Plus 128gb Rose Gold on the apple store of my choice last night at 12:01 last night. Does that mean when I get to the store and there is a huge line that at my time period being 9AM to 9:30AM I'd just walk in buy it and then walk out. Or is it not guaranteed that I get that phone. What if I don't get into the store in time for my appointment because of how long the line will be?

You, along with anyone else who pre-ordered, will have priority in line over those who have not pre-ordered. Obviously there is no way to 100% guarantee that you will get your phone, but since Apple will know ahead of time how many people pre-ordered, they should be prepared with adequate stock.

Here is a snippet from Slash Gear's website with the launch day/pre-order info for iPhone 6's. You will experience the same thing:

Pre-orders

If you’ve pre-ordered your new iPhone, things will go pretty smoothly. You already know that you can pick up your device at any point on Friday, so the whole “take a day off work to stand in a queue” isn’t a concern for you. So long as you make it to the store on Friday, you’re fine.

When you get to the store, there will be a line specifically set up for pre-orders. Have your order info ready, though, as store employees will ask to scan your “Ready for pickup” barcode. Apple says they’ve seen a record number of pre-orders for the iPhone 6, so be prepared to stand in line for a bit.

Why are you standing in line after pre-ordering your iPhone for pickup? After Apple Store employees verify your bona fides, you’ll be escorted individually to the Genius Bar to complete the transaction. There, employees will ask if you need a Personal Setup, which is a one-on-one for getting your new phone up and running. If you don’t want that, the employee helping you out will tell you about their various workshops before you leave.

Be sure to bring any info outlined in the email you receive.

I'm thinking it is much like making a Genius appointment. I had to take my Mac into the Apple store here in Maine, and I made an appointment. There was a line of people. The ones that didn't have an appointment were told they would have a 2 hour wait minimum. I was escorted to the Genius Bar for my appointment pretty much right on time.

Best of luck, and have fun!!! 🙂

Then you should be good to go! Just linked the article to give you an idea of what should go on. Thinking that possibly it was a UK article, and maybe they use bar codes. Or maybe they just used them for the iPhone 6. As long as you bring what your email is asking for, you will be good to go!

Pretty exciting! And if I were getting one, I'd get the Rose Gold too!!! 🙂

Cheers,

GB
