Q: What size of a HD is the limit for a G4?

I bought a Toschiba SATA 1 TB, but it doesnt show nowhere. I cant Formatize it. I sthere a limit of size?

Power Mac G4 (QuickSilver 2002), Mac OS X (10.4.11)

I bought a Toschiba SATA...

Powermacs must use PATA (IDE) drives. They cannot support SATA unless you have an aftermarket PCI SATA controller card installed.

If you have an SATA controller card installed, please tell us the make and model.

should actually work or is there limit?
