Sep 13, 2015 7:17 AM in response to clearysinsgpby n.holo,If you have a backup on a Hard Drive plug that in before boot and boot (start up) mac while holding alt/option when booting your mac and when you see a screen that shows
this and use the right arrow key to select you backup drive. And it should boot your mac o your last backup. If this doesn't work then take it to Apple and tell them your problem. -

In some cases you can use Disk Utility in Recovery to Repair the Macintosh HD.

Then If that does not fix the problem, you have the option to reinstall OS X or Erase and Restore from your Backup or something like what n.holo is suggesting.
