Hi,
Someone gave me their old iPhone 4s as they upgraded. She said it didn't work as a phone as it was always trying to acquire a signal so I could use it as an ipod touch by linking it with my iTunes account.
I have tried following the directions wirelessly and also hooked up to my computer but it says that it cannot be activated because "activation server is temporarily unavailable" so it tells me to go to iTunes to activate it or try again in a couple minutes. When I go to iTunes to activate it I get a similar message. I just decided to wait but it is a week later and it is still saying the same thing so I am thinking there is another problem other than the server is not available.
Can anyone help me?
