Q: Payment methods on iPad mini

I used my desktop to change my iTunes payment method to PayPal.  Used my iPad to try to make a purchase and it won't work.  It wants me to verify my credit card because PayPal isn't listed.  I don't want to use my credit card.  Now what?

    What exactly happens when you try to buy something ? And since changing your payment method on your computer's iTunes have you tried logging out (tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store) and back into your account on your iPad ?

    Hereis the situation:  I maxed out the credit card I was using for the App Store.  Tried to change payment method on iPad.  At that screen PayPal was not offered as an option.  I went to my desktop computer to iTunes and changed my paymeant method to PayPal.  Then went back to my iPad and tried to purchase an app.  I signed in and said Yes to purchase.  A pop up said I needed to verify my payment method.  I went where they sent me, which was the change payment method screen.  My credit card info was still listed shown as payment method.  There was no option to change it to PayPal.  I re entered my credit card info and made the purchase I wanted to make and it worked.  Now when I go back in and try to purchase it says there was a problem with a previous purchase and I need to update my credit card info.  When I go there it still doesn't offer PayPal as an option.  I don't know what to try next.  It won't even let me GET a free app.

    As far as I am aware PayPal will only show as a payment method option on a computer's iTunes, not on an iOS device - so it can only be added on a computer.

     

    If your credit card issuer has declined the payment for your recent purchase then you will now owe iTunes for it, and you won't be able to download anything else (including free items, redownloading past purchases, and updates to apps) until that is paid off. If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes are you able to re-select PayPal and pay what you owe : Pay an unpaid balance in the iTunes Store - Apple Support ?
