Q: Home sharing nightmare

I Havd just noticed that my ATV does connect to my home computer to share movies or TV shows that I have downloaded. My software on everything is up to date, I rebooted my router, turned off Home Sharing and then turned it on again, made certain my computer was aughorized, made certain I was logged in to the Apple store and even did a reset on the ATV. I no longer know what to do in order to fix this nightmare? Any ideas?

I added the rule for the ports in Firewall settings and this seems to have fixed the problem. However after I rebooted the laptop, the speed seems to thave slowed down substantially. Hopefully this will be short lived.
