USB Superdrive No Longer Recognized
I have an external Apple USB Superdrive attached to my iMac. When I upgraded to Yosemite, it stopped being recognized. Is that a coincidence, or do I need to make some change?

Thanks for your reply. I'm not clear what your recommending. Could you please specify whether you think this is a software or hardware problem?
I am saying I don't think the issue is your Yosemite upgrade.
I am suggesting you use the Superdrive article attached above as a guide.
For example:
- Is your iMac model from late 2012 or later?
- Do you attach the Superdrive to your USB port before loading the disk (as you should)?
- Have you tried many (all) your USB ports? (You are plugging the Superdrive directly into the computer, right?)
Does Disk Utility see the drive?
