I would like my wife's Macbook and my iMac desktop to share an external hard drive... Adding photos or other docs that we want to backup onto this hard drive.
I have an external hard drive that I use for backing up files and pics from my desktop Mac (OS X Yosemite 10.10.5). I have no problems using this hard drive with my iMac. My wife wanted to add pictures from her Macbook (OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.) to the picture folders in my external hard drive. Her Macbook will not let her drag the photos onto the external drive's folder. It will also not let her cut and paste the photos into my external hard drive picture folder.
How can i fix this problem without formatting my external hard drive.
