Apple Music: Easy way to upload imported cd titles that are not in Apple's Music library?

Do I have to upload the iTunes music that is on my PC (from imported CDs-not from the iTunes Store) but not in the Apple Music library to each and every one of my devices (via the old-fashioned usb wire) or is there any easier way?

Hi,

Make sure that you have turned on iCloud Music library - see preferences. When you activate this for the first time, Apple scans your library to determine what can be matched or needs to be uploaded. Once scan is complete your music should be in the cloud and you need to turn on iCloud library on your iOS devices.

You cannot sync by usb with iCloud music library active but if you don't turn on iCloud music library, you can still sync by USB.

Is this the case even if the person has CDs of the music? I can understand some artists not permitting streaming of the Apple Music owned version of the tracks (to encourage people to buy them) but how is this different from, say, if the person had a CD that was not in Apple's collection? Is this a case of there is a Match but because there is, and the Apple copy is not permitted for streaming, even the person's own CD isn't? That sounds pretty unfair to me since in theory Apple is supposed to let you upload and use the Music service to play any music you own. At least this is how I interpret your post.

By the way, I can think of at least one very easy workaround to this if it is the case. Rename your music. BBeatles, or Beetles.

Thanks guys. Jim, do you have iTunes Match and do Beatles tracks work for you (assuming you have imported Beatles tracks)? I ask because I see that a few others on here seem to be unable to llisten to imported Beatles tracks/albums even though they have iTunes Match. Do you have any personal experience with this phenomenon? Thanks again guys! -Clint

Jim, I just figured out what you meant by status... The ones that I am missing have a "waiting" status... How do you fix that? I have no clue why some albums would be in wait status and others would not... And update... I now have access to some of my Beatles albums but others are still in wait status. Even more vexing are albums where some of the songs are in the iCloud and some are still in wait status (some of my Beatles stuff is in this predicament) Thanks for all of your help!
