How do I wear/protect Apple Watch Sport during actual sports?
I'm thinking about breaking down and getting an Apple Watch. It'd be a Sport version because (a) price and (b) weight. I'm thinking for me there'd be 2 primary uses: Apple Pay and health & fitness tracking. But for the latter, I'm wondering what the best way to wear and protect the Apple Watch would be?
You see, all the videos and ads talk about and show an Apple Watch tracking walking, or running, or biking, those kinds of things. Me, I play sports. Lots of them. I play basketball and soccer and softball and football and others, sporting activities where there's sweat and contact and dirt, activities where my hands and arms are often very active (and often making contact with other participants), activities where I get the vast majority of my exercise. And if I were to not wear the Apple Watch during those activities, it would largely make meaningless one of the device's primary purposes for me.
I currently wear a Withings Activite Pop, and I did find a foam wristband (it's actually more designed as a support device) that has a loop around my thumb and wraps around and secures with velcro. But the Apple Watch Sport is a bit bulkier, so I'm not sure this would provide enough protection.
Are there Apple Watch wearers who play active sports and who wear their Apple Watches while they play? If so, what have you found that provides good protection while you play?
