On your Apple Watch, swipe up on the watch face into Glances. Then swipe left or right to the Settings Glance. This will say Connected or Disconnected at the top of the display and has three buttons / icons:

    - An airplane (for Airplane Mode)

    - A moon (for Do Not Disturb)

    - A bell with a line through it (for Silent Mode)

Check that Airplane Mode is not enabled.

On your iPhone, check that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both enabled (Settings > Bluetooth, Settings > Wi-Fi).

With both devices quite close together, they should reconnect automatically. If they do not, try restarting both:

    - Restart iPhone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears; Drag the slider to turn your iPhone off; When it has finished turning off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

    - Restart Apple Watch: Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; Drag the slider to turn off completely; Afterwards, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
