How do I get my Iphone sync back after changing to a new laptop?

I got a new laptop, So I wanted a clean install and installed all the files manually. In time some programs dont work and to get a good clean install I did it manually.

So after a short time I got a better machine that finally fitted my needs, but since I already did the hard work once, I just made a timemachine as I use to and got it fast over to the new machine. So in all these timemachines and transfers, nowhere was there any notes about how to secure you get your iphone sync with you as it was.

Everything did move correctly with the library, BUT now I am sitting very frustrated, since the setup has changed completely. I have manually setup the few movies and podcasts I have space for and music.

Now when I want to sync my iphone it is blanc but seems to sync all that there is on the phone, just not with the library I have on my itunes??

When I press the custom sync It wants to remove all movies ... and the size of my iphone suddenly changes.

- When I try to add exactly all the same music I had before, the volume goes down even though the files are the same. So it is deleting something it should not.

How the **** do I get my old sync-setup back without loosing the files I have on my iphone ?  (Thanks apple for making my life even more difficult!)
