Q: Mail - issues receiving all emails

Frequently, different people (work & friends) tell me that they've emailed me (from a range of accounts) but I never receive the emails. Where do they go? They're not in Junk and I've disabled filtering. How can I ensure I receive all emails sent to me? I get a lot of emails every day but not all of them! Thanks.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Try rebuilding the mailbox.

Rebuild mailbox

If that doesn't work, try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

Reindex messages

If you go to the e-mail website do you see the e-mails?

Thanks Eric. I tried rebuilding the mailbox but still issues. Maybe I should try re-indexing. I don't see the emails on the icloud website either, or on my phone. They seem to come mainly from yahoo and hotmail accounts, don't know if that has any bearing on it...

You are welcome. Try checking the e-mail provider's website to see if the e-mails are there.
