Sep 16, 2015 7:54 AM in response to Eric Rootby Chad MacManus,Eric,
I have solved the issue on my own with the help of my Guru friend who I used to work with in 1990 @ an Apple Store in FLA. Mini Concepts.
It is a JavaScript specific issue. NOT Safari. It also has to do with my Ad Block extensions. I only have 4 extensions installed. I do not know the exact steps I took in sequence but I fixed the issue.
Sad part, I went down to my local MacCity Apple VAR and the chick behind the counter told me to re-install the entire OS Yosemite... SERIOUSLY?! ***?
Anyway here is what I have.... You can make heads or tails of it. I have got to get back to work. www.bottomsupmichigan.com
Apple NEEDS to get THEIR collective **** together. They have thrown long term customers like myself under the bus & I find it utterly offensive.
I have submitted my resume' to Apple over 10 times since 2002 with not 1!! Reply. I can ad value to Apple but they are too blind in this day and age.
BOY, Do i miss the old days.
Have a Grateful Day.

Hey Chad,
I’m not sure. If there is a client side javascript validating input on the field the backspace won’t work, (such as if the field is numeric; therefore, prevent typing ‘a’,’b’,’c’ and only ‘1’,’2’,’3’, if may also be canceling/preventing the backspace from working - rejecting those keys keycode values because they are not numbers).
Easy test, disable Javascript in your browser. If you don’t have a ‘Develop’ menu in Safari displaying, Safari -> Preferences -> Advanced -> bottom of panel ‘Show Develop menu in menu bar’. From the Develop menu select ‘Disable Javascript’, refresh/load the page with the form, and try again. If it works (backspace/delete), it’s the form’s javascript code. Don’t forget to re-enable Javascript.
If it still doesn’t work, it still may be a javascript issue, but not with the page’s code. The ‘Disable Javascript’ option only disables the page’s javascript, if you have any Safari Extensions installed and enabled, those may be the culprit. Back to Safari -> Preferences -> Extensions, disable all extensions (if any list) by simply clicking the ‘Off/On’ switch control. Repeat testing the form. If it starts working, it’s a case of turning the Extensions back on, and disabling half of them (each should have an ‘Enable …’ checkbox), trying again. If that works you know the half you enabled aren’t the problem, enable half (or disable half those enabled if the problem returns), repeating until you have the Extension that when on causes the problem.
If it’s neither page javascript or an Extension, got me. You could clear all history/cookies, but if you depend on Safari remembering logins and such that can be a pain (not as bad if you use Safari Keychain or a password app - 1Password, LastPass, etc.).

My other findings
