Nothing has changed about my setup since last week (when everything worked) except that XFinity had to do a reset on my modem. Now when I try to print, I'm told the printer is not connected to the computer.
One simple thing I'm told is to make sure my computer is connected to WiFi, but I don't see where I do that.

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you need to connect the Mac to a WiFi network. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

- Click the Wi-Fi menu icon
and select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
- If prompted, enter the password for your Wi-Fi network.
- Check "Remember this network" to have your Mac automatically join your home network.

if they reset your modem and it's a router did they reconnect your printer if it's wireless or does it have a wire going directly to the router?
whats the status on the printer? Can you verify the mac and the printer are on the same network?
have you attempted to reconnect the mac to the printer if the IP address has changed and you were connected via IP?
have you attempted to remove the existing driver and reinstall the printer using IP or Bonjour?
