Apple pay not working at Trader Joes

When the Trader Joes in my area first started using Apple Pay, it worked fine for me. Lately I get the ding when I hold my phone to the register and the location shows up but the amount doesn't register and so the card doesn't work, neither does the other card I've used work. Apple Pay is working at other places like Whole Foods and Panera Bread. TJs cashiers give me a dirty look and state it's my problem not theirs! My expiration date on the card I usually use has changed (although nothing has changed on the other card) and I wonder if that's the problem. Any recommendations? It seems so odd that I only have this problem at Trader Joes and am told no one else is having problems although someone did come over and told me he would speak with their technician.

However, you can still report your experience to Apple using the feedback form below. Whilst you should not expect to receive a reply, it enables you to report issues with specific merchants, transactions and payment cards, so is very helpful in enabling Apple to investigate.

Regarding your expired card: the replacement card may have been automatically associated with your existing Device Account Number by your bank. You can contact your bank to find out.

I did report to Apple. My local Trader Joes has had apple pay for a month. When they first started with Apple Pay it worked fine for me. Now it doesn't register either of my cards. I do get the "ding" when I hold my phone to the paying device and the location comes up on Apple Pay on my phone. However the amount never comes up, I can't press the credit key and Trader Joes gets the message that the card is not applicable (can't remember exact words). This does not seem to be happening with other Trader Joes Apple Pay customers. I use Apple Pay without any problems at Panera Bread and Whole foods. So, any further advice?
