Q: Yosemite 10.10.5 BTMM Issues
Back to my mac was working fine (screen sharing) between my MacBook Air (10.10.5) and my Mac Mini (10.10.5) over the internet using BTMM. MacBook Air is sitting behind Airport Extreme and Xfinity/Comcast gateway (TG862G). Mac Min is sitting behind Xfinity/Comcast gateway (TG862G). Worked like an Apple product should (for 1 week), then suddenly stopped working with no changes/updates to either system. I'm signed into BTMM on both machines (I've turned this on/off a few times), Screen Sharing and File Sharing are set correctly (a few times), no issues with NAT-PMP/UPnP, no computers are sleeping, etc. I've rebooted each machine a few hundred times and ran out of ideas. Both machines show up in Finder but when selected (Share Screen...) I get the "Connecting to ...." message followed by the less than helpful "Connection failed to “Mac mini”, "Please make sure that Screen Sharing (in the Sharing section of System Preferences) is enabled on the computer to which you are attempting to connect. Also make sure your network connection is working properly." I don't see anything helpful in the console logs, traceroutes look fine, no issues with any other icloud functionality, etc. Lastly, I'm able to connect from the Mac Mini to the Passport connected to the AirPort Extreme (in the MacBook Air home). In much less words, file sharing to the Airport/Passport is working, screen sharing is not. Any advice w/b helpful. Thank you.
